Iceland’s composer extraordinaire Ólafur Arnalds is giving fans more free music, and he’s doing it every day for 7 days. He calls it “Found Songs”, which is a carry on from his 2010 7-song series “Living Room Songs”. If you can’t do math, that equals 14 free songs. Ólafur “writes, records and releases a song a day for a week. It started this past Monday and is continuing through this Sunday.”
Visit Ólafur’s website to download the songs and watch the videos.
Each song downloads is accompanied with a video created at the moment of creating, and consists of everyone performing in his Reykjavik apartment. His personal notes on the songs here: http://olafurarnalds.tumblr.com/
These songs will be available to purchase (CD/vinyl/high quality digital) throughErased Tapes, which follows his critically acclaimed last album “…and they have escaped the weight of darkness.” Pre-order is up nowhttp://erasedtapes.com/store/index/ERATP037
